Sesión académica: “Illiberal regimes in Eurasia: government systems, democracy and fundamental rights”

 

Se realizó la sesión académica: “Illiberal regimes in Eurasia: government systems, democracy and fundamental rights”, un encuentro en idioma inglés organizado por el Grupo de Estudios Contemporáneosdel Espacio Euroasiático del Consejo Argentino para la Relaciones Internacionales (CARI), en la que participo el Dr. Gustavo Di Paolo de ESEIAP.

 

El evento comenzó con la apertura a cargo de Lila Roldán Vázquez, Coordinadora del Grupo de Trabajo de Estudios Contemporáneos del Espacio Euroasiático del CARI y Ex Embajadora en Ucrania; y la exposición estuvo a caro de Marlene Laruelle.

 

 Marlene Laruelle Ph.D., is Director and Research Professor at the Institute for European, Russian and Eurasian Studies (IERES), Elliott School of International Affairs, The George Washington University. At IERES Dr. Laruelle is also Director of the Illiberalism Studies Program and a Co-Director of PONARS (Program on New Approaches to Research and Security in Eurasia). Dr. Laruelle received her Ph.D. in history at the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Cultures (INALCO) and her post-doctoral degree in political science at Sciences-Po in Paris. She is Senior Associate Scholar at IFRI, the French Institute for International Relations. She has recently published Memory Politics and the Russian Civil War. Reds versus Whites (Bloomsbury, with Margarita Karnysheva) and Is Russia Fascist? Unraveling Propaganda East and West (Cornell University Press).
